Hottest 100- My top 5.

So it's a mere 3 days until the triple J hottest 100 is announced! hurrah! I just wanted to say that I am going to be super stereo typical in that my top 5 were:

1. Gotye: Somebody that I used to know.
2. Boy and Bear: Feeding line
3. Adrian Lux: Teenage Crime
4. Florence and the Machine: Thats what the water gave me
5. Calvin Harris: Feel so Close

These were the songs I will remember from 2011. Gotye will remind me of the hard times, Boy and Bear will remind me of the night I was driving home at 1 am along the country roads out west and looking at the stars, having a solitary moment. Adrian Lux will remind me of the nights I spent in the drunken haze of college life and Calvin Harris will remind me of being at work, standing on the wall dancing with everyone in the water and with someone pretty special.

In 2012, I want to tell people I love them. Show people that I love them. I have come to realise that every day is special, any day could be your last. You can't live for the future and you cant love for it either. I don't want it to be too late. I don't want to wake up tomorrow and wish that I  had told you I loved you yesterday. I dont want to not wake up, and for people to never know how I feel... I want to make things happen now, because that is what the present is all about. That is what 2012 is about for me.

I will give you the moon.

2012!

It's a year for fun, hopes and dreams. It's a year for love and success. It's a year for realisations, hurdles and triumph. It's a year of summer and winter and everything in between. It's a year where I will be challenged and fearful, yet determined and strong. It is a year for friendship and wonder. It's a year that I will not be hesitating in. Here is to he beginning of something, and the end of something else. Here is to 2012.
